Chris Williams

    Former Millikin University wrestling standout and four-time All-American Chris Williams joined the Big Blue coaching staff as an assistant wrestling coach in August 2019.
    Williams helped coach the Big Blue to Millikin's first ever College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship in 2019-20. The Big Blue had four CCIW individual champions and qualified four wrestlers for the NCAA Tournament.
     Williams completed his stellar collegiate career in 2019 finishing as the national runner up at 141 pounds at the 2019 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships. Williams was the first wrestler in Big Blue history to earn All-American honors four times. In addition to his second place finish in 2019, Williams placed third, fourth and sixth at the NCAA Championships. He ended his Millikin career with an 83-13 record. Williams won two College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament titles during his career winning at 133 pounds in 2017 and 141 pounds in 2019. Williams was the Big Blue's Most Valuable Wrestler four times during his career was a Co-Captain in 2018-19.
          Williams gained coaching experience at Millikin camps and clinics and has presented his own wrestling camps throughout Illinois.
          Williams graduated from Millikin with a degree in Sports Management.
          Williams is originally from Bethalto and graduated from Civic Memorial High School.
