Nick Nemeth will enter his first academic year at Millikin University in the fall of 2026, and serves as Millikin’s Director of Athletic Communications. He is responsible for leading the communications efforts for Millikin’s 23 athletic programs. Nemeth, a Millikin graduate, joined the Big Blue staff in June 2026.
Prior to returning to Millikin, Nemeth spent four years as the Assistant Athletic Director for Communication/Marketing and Sports Information at Alma College. Nemeth began his stint as Alma’s Director of Athletics Communication in July 2022 and was promoted to assistant athletic director in 2023.
At Alma, Nemeth led the sports information operation for Alma's 30 athletic programs. He directed coverage of 19 national championships and six conference championships. In the Spring of 2025, he served as Co-Interim Women's Lacrosse Coach, helping guide the team to four wins, a second team All-MIAA selection, and the program's first MIAA statistical champion since 2016.
While at Alma he helped host four NCAA football playoff games, opening round MIAA playoff games in Men's Basketball and Baseball, the 2022 MIAA Cross Country Championships, and the 2025 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Nemeth graduated Magna Cum Laude from Millikin University in 2022, with a bachelor's degree in sport and recreation management, and a communications minor.
While at Millikin, he competed in the sport of swimming for three years, bringing home over 20 individual event wins, and scoring over 650 career points. As a student, Nemeth was an integral part of the Big Blue Sports Information Department for four years and handled play-by-play duties and served as the Sports Director for WJMU. He served as a Resident Assistant for three years in Millikin’s Campus Life department.
A native of Bourbonnais, Illinois, Nick resides in Decatur with his significant other Kate.
