Millikin Athletics

Torre Koontz will enter her 4th year as an Athletic Trainer at Millikin University in the fall of 2026. Koontz joined the Big Blue staff in 2023.

Koontz came to Millikin after graduating from Illinois State University in 2023.

Prior to ISU, Koontz was a four-year softball student-athlete between John Wood Comunity College and Eureka College. She earned NJCAA Academic All-America honors twice, All Midwest Academic honors twice, was a Lincoln Laureate Award semi-finalist, was named SLIAC Academic All-Conference once, was an eight-time dean's list honoree, and was named an outstanding kinesiology student twice (once as the Eureka College Outstanding Kinesiology Student, and once as the recipient of the Kathy Schniedwind Athletic Training Scholarship at Illinois State University).

Koontz graduated from John Wood in 2019 with her associate's of arts. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in science kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training in 2021, and earned her master's in athletic training in 2023 from Illinois State University.

A native of Shelbyville, Illinois, Torre resides in Taylorville with her fiancé Alec.
