The Millikin men's and women's swimming team defeated Illinois College in a dual meet on January 17 in Jacksonville, Illinois.  The men won 78-53 while the Big Blue women won 96-64.
    Jeremy Baehler and Spencer McGowan were double event winners for the Big Blue men.  Baehler won the 50 Yard Freestyle in 24.20 seconds and the 100 Yard Freestyle in 53.96 seconds.  McGowan won the 200 Yard Freestyle in 1:54.89 and the 500 Yard Freestyle in 5:15.21.
    Jacob Sagan won the 200 Yard Backstroke in 2:49.59 for Millikin.
    In the women's competition, Sami Battle won the 1650 Yard Freestyle in 20:33.36 and the 200 Yard Backstroke in 2:26.29.
    Felicity Speirs won the 400 IM in 5:27.86.
    Emily Nielsen won the 50 Yard Freestyle in 29.37 seconds.
    Shelby Kobs won the 500 Yard Freestyle in 6:02.32.
    Emily Vana won the 200 Yard Breaststroke in 3:06.30.
    Next up for Millikin is a home dual with Illinois Wesleyan on Jan. 23 at 6 p.m.
