Msanaa Bosland Recognized as Dennis Ryan Outstanding Performer

As part of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin 2026 Swimming Championships, the conference named the Dennis Ryan Outstanding Performer as one of the special awards. The award, named after former North Central Swimming & Diving Coach, Dennis Ryan, is given to one male and one female swimmer at the conclusion of each CCIW swim meet.

Consideration for the award is given to athletes who overcome hardship to find success, bring out the best in others, provide leadership through adversity, give their best, and positively represent the sport of swimming & diving. This year, the men's award was presented to Millikin's Msanaa Bosland.

Bosland, a senior hailing from Nassau, Bahamas, is a four-year member of the Big Blue swim team. A mathematics and data science major, Bosland is set to graduate from Millikin in May. At the CCIW Championships, he posted a personal best in the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:52.67, and season bests in the 100 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.
