Millikin Men’s Soccer Edged at Elmhurst

         The Millikin men's soccer lost a tight CCIW battle 1-0 at Elmhurst College on October 17 in Elmhurst, Illinois.
         The game's only goal came at the 51:45 mark when Elmhurst's Sam Johnson scored on a header off a corner kick from teammate Austin Larsen.
         Each team managed 12 shots in the game, but the Big Blue could only target five shots on goal.  Elmhurst's Nick King was up to the challenge recording five saves.
         Elmhurst had eight shots on goal with Millikin goalkeeper Daniel Sinclair recording seven saves.
         Zach Solorio led Millikin with five shots and two shots on goal.  Oliver Czopek had three shots for the Big Blue.
         Millikin is now 9-4, 0-3 while Elmhurst goes to 5-8-1, 2-2.
         The Big Blue will travel to Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday, October 21 for a 7:30 p.m. start.
