Millikin Volleyball Earns CCIW Road Win

    The Millikin volleyball team picked up a road win in the CCIW winning 3-0 at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois on October 6.  Millikin improves to 14-8, 2-0 while Augustana goes to 8-8, 1-2.
    Millikin won all three sets 25-22.  Sophomore Erin Syversen led the Millikin attack with 23 kills and a .396 attacking percentage.  Syversen had 13 digs.  Freshman Emily Seegmiller had nine kills and and freshman Cortney Bohn had eight kills and one block.  Cassidy Kingery had a team high 21 digs for Millikin.
    Big Blue setter Emily Mihalkanin had 39 assists and 11 digs.  Earlier today, Mihalkanin was named the CCIW Player of the Week.
    Sydney Sand led the Vikings with 9 kills.  Kylie Siebert had 23 digs for Augustana.
    Millikin will host a North Park on Saturday, Ocotber 10 at 12 p.m.  It will be triple header action in the Griswold Center as Millikin will also be hosting non-conference foe DePauw University.  North Park will face DePauw at 2:30 p.m. and the Tigers and Big Blue will play at 5 p.m.
