Millikin Football Suffers Road Loss

          The Millikin football team fell victim to a second half comeback losing 15-14 at Elmhurst College on November 7 in Elmhurst, Illinois.
          Millikin did all of the scoring in the first half of game building a 14-0 advantage at halftime.  The Big Blue scored on a 25 yard pass from Nicco Stepina to Brady Cufaude in the first quarter and then scored on a four yard run by Cameron Mammen in the second quarter.
          It would all Elmhurst scoring in the second half.  Josh Williams put the Bluejays on the board on a 15 yard run in the third quarter.  The Bluejays would make it a 14-9 Millikin lead on a 21 yard field goal from Brett Bayer.
          Elmhurst scored its game winner with one minute left in the game on a 10 yard pass from Orlando Hernandez to Givanna Gonzales.
          Stepina was 12-27-2 for Millikin for 135 yards.  Freshman Andre Colvin led the Millikin rushing attack with 80 yards on 20 carries. 
          Hernandez was 8-16-1 passing for Elmhurst for 120 yards.  Williams rushed for 100 yards on 19 carries.
          Freshman linebacker Isaiah Tate led Millikin with 13 tackles.  Kyle McMahon had an interception for Millikin.
          Elmhurst had 289 yards in total offense while Millikin gained 249 yards.
          The Big Blue fall to 2-7, 1-5 while Elmhurst goes to 4-5, 1-5.
          Millikin will host Augustana in the season finale on November 14 at 1 p.m.
