Millikin Women’s Basketball Loses at #23 DePauw

          The Millikin women's basketball team lost at #23 ranked DePauw University 87-60 on Dec. 2 in Greencastle, Indiana.
          The Tigers jumped out to an early advantage and built a 33-16 lead at the end of the first quarter.  Millikin played the Tigers even in the second and third quarters. 
          DePauw shot 51 percent from the field including hitting on 12-23 (52 percent) from three-point range.  Millikin hits on 46.5 percent from the field and connected on 4-7 (57 percent) from beyond the arc.  The Tigers forced Millikin into 23 turnovers and out rebounded the Big Blue 33-27.  The difference in the game was offensive opportunities with DePauw getting off 67 shots compared to the Big Blue's 43.
          Alyssa Saklak led Millikin with 24 points and five rebounds.  Alex Capeles had 12 points and five boards. 
          DePauw got a career night from Emily Budde who scored 38 points and grabbed six rebounds.  Budde's 38 points was the second highest total in school history and her eight three-pointers tied a Tigers school record.
          Millikin will be back at home on Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. hosting nationally ranked Washington University-St. Louis.
