Millikin Softball Opens Season

    The Millikin softball team opened its 2015 season playing four games at the Rochester Dome in Rochester, Minnesota on February 28-March 1.
    The Big Blue lost to the University of Dubuque 10-9 and to Luther College 16-0 on Saturday.  Millikin lost to Carleton 10-2 and fell to the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse 7-1 in action on Sunday.
    Millikin senior Rachel Kindred had a strong start to her season going 5-10 with three RBIs.  Freshman catcher Alyssa Voegele had a good weekend at the plate going 3-7 (.429) with three runs batted in.  Junior Alyssa Visvardis was 5-12 (.417) at the plate with two RBIs.
    Millikin will return to the outdoors in a warmer climate with they play in the Spring Games at the National Traning Center in Clermont, Florida March 8-13.
