Millikin Baseball Falls at Home

          The Millikin baseball dropped a home contest to Lincoln Christian University 11-8 on March 26 at Sunnyside Field in Decatur, Illinois.
          It was a game of big inning with Millikin taking a 7-4 advantage after a six run fifth inning only the have to Red Lions to rally with seven in the eighth inning to pull out the victory.
          Brian Ekiss was 3-4 for Millikin with a homerun and three RBIs.  Frank Barnes hit his third homer of the season for the Big Blue.  Cody Blunk and Clayton Welker each had two hits for Millikin.  Joey DiLeo had two RBIs.
          McLean Conklin was the hitting star for Lincoln Christian going 3-5 with a game winning grand slam in the eighth inning.  He drove in six runs for the game.
          Millikin is now 8-6 and will open CCIW play on Friday, March 27 at 3:30 p.m. when they host Wheaton College.
