Millikin Football Suffers Road Loss

         The Millikin football team suffered a 24-20 loss at Aurora University on September 26 in Aurora. 
         The Big Blue let a fourth quarter lead slip away when Aurora scored the game winning touchdown with 2:48 left in the game on a 19 yard pass from Geron Rogers to Danny Logiunato.
         Trailing 17-10 in the third quarter the Big Blue tied the game on a 25 yard touchdown pass from Nicco Stepina to Brady Cufaude.  Millikin would then take a 20-17 advantage with seven minutes left in the game when Chayce Volpert hit a 24 yard field goal his second field goal of the day.
         Stepina was 26-41 passing with 257 yards and two touchdowns.  Cufaude had eight catches for 100 yards.  Taylor Sanders had Millikin's other touchdown catch.  Freshman Andre Colvin rushed 21 times for 86 yards.
         Rogers was 10-24 passing for Aurora for 184 yards and three touchdowns.  Logiuato had seven catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
         Linebacker Alex Tatar led the Millikin defense with nine tackles.
         The Big Blue fall to 1-2 while the Spartans improve to 1-2. 
         Millikin will open CCIW play on Saturday, October 3 when they host North Central College during Millikin's 100th Homecoming.  The 6 p.m. kickoff will mark the first night Homecoming contest at Millikin.
