Millikin Women Lose to North Park

          The Millikin women's basketball team lost to North Park University 63-47 on January 16 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
          Millikin started the game strong with the score tied at 13 at the end of the first quarter.  Millikin then went cold from the field and the Vikings pulled away to lead 35-29 at the half. 
          Millikin shot 34 percent from the field including hitting only 18 percent in the first half.  Millikin was 13-18 from the line including going 12-16 in the first half, which helped keep them in the game.
          North Park shot 38 percent from the field and made 13-19 free throws.
          Millikin won the rebounding battle 41-32.
          Alyssa Saklak led Millikin with 11 points.  Emma Hoyer had a team high 13 rebounds and six points.
          Liz Rehberger led North Park with 14 points followed by Amani Davis with 13.
          Millikin is now 7-9, 0-5 while North Park improves to 13-3, 4-1.
          Millikin will face conference co-leader Wheaton College on January 20 at 7 p.m. in the Griswold Center.
