Millikin Swimmers Return to Action

         The Millikin men's and women's swimming returned to action after a long holiday break with a double dual with Illinois Wesleyan and North Central in Bloomington, Illinois on January 22.  The Millikin men lost to North Central 74-57 and to Illinois Wesleyan 188-25.  The Big Blue women lost to North Central 138-79 and to Illinois Wesleyan 150-63.
         Millikin sophomore Felicity Speirs won the 100 Yard Butterfly in 1:14.57.
         Big Blue sophomore Sami Battle was second in the 100 Yard Breaststroke in 1:16.84 and was fourth in the 200 Yard Backstroke in 2:23.92.  Her time in the 200 Back was seventh fastest in Millikin history.
         Senior Tess Adamonis finished second in the 1000 Yard Freestyle in 12:53.30.
         The Millikin women finished in second in the 200 Freestyle Relay in 1:51.79 with
Emily Nielsen, Randi Mehrmann, Caroline Lodovisi and Battle swimming legs.
         Lodovisi finished in third place in the 50 Yard Freestyle in 27.38.
         Millikin's top male finish was Spencer McGowan's second place performance in the 1000 Yard Freestyle in 11:50.32.
         Millikin will be back in action on Saturday, January 23 at the Principia College Invite.
