Millikin Women’s Basketball Loses on the Road

          The Millikin women's basketball team lost at North Central College 104-65 on January 27 in Naperville, Illinois.
          North Central's fast paced offense resulted in the Cardinals connecting on 23 three-pointers in the game.  The Cardinals shot 36.5 percent from the field and were 23-61 (38 percent) from three point range.  Twenty-three of the Cardinals 31 field goals were from beyond the arc.  Millikin hit on 40 percent from the field, but was 1-10 from three-point range.  North Central won the rebounding battle 54-51.
          Millikin's top scorer was senior Alyssa Saklak with 13 points.  Emma Hoyer had nine points and a career high 17 rebounds.  Kelly Skorczewski had nine points and seven rebounds.
          North Central had five players score in double figures led by Anita Sterling with 14 and Jamie Cuny with 13.  Cuny had a team high 12 rebounds.
          Millikin is now 7-12, 0-8 while North Central improves to 10-9, 4-4.
          Millikin travels to Elmhurst College on Saturday, January 30.
