Big Blue Men Lose on Road

          The Millikin men's basketball team opened the season with an 87-63 loss at Aurora University on November 15 in Aurora, Illinois.
          Millikin could never recover from a slow start that saw the Spartans jump out to an early 15-2 advantage.  Millikin trailed at the half 40-30.  Aurora shot 52.5 percent from the field while Millikin hit only 35 percent of its shots including shooting 25 percent in the first half.  Aurora won the rebounding battle 38-27.
          Two freshmen led the way for the Big Blue with Zach Fisher scoring 14 points and forward Logan Bader adding 12.  Junior Michael Charles II had 10 points and five assists.
          Aurora had five players score in double figures led by Marcus Myers with 21.
          Millikin will host the CCIW vs. SLIAC Challenge on Nov. 18-19.  The Big Blue men play each day at 7 p.m. starting with Westminster College on Friday.
