Millikin Women Lose to Greenville

          The Millikin women's basketball team lost to Greenville College 82-72 in the CCIW vs. SLIAC Challenge played on November 19 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
          Millikin led 17-16 at the end of the first quarter, but the Panthers outscored the Big Blue by 14 in the second quarter to take a 44-31 lead into the locker room at halftime.  Millikin tried to make a run in the third quarter out scoring Greenville 25-17, but the Panthers put up five move points than the Big Blue in the fourth quarter to hold on for the win.
          Greenville shot 50 percent from the field including 45 percent (5-11) from three point range.  Millikin hit on 40 percent from the field, but was only 8-27 (30 percent) from behind the three point line.  Greenville dominated the glass out rebounding Millikin 43 to 26.
          Emily Schultz had 16 for Millikin.  Yanni Saddler had 15 points and a team high five rebounds.  Lauren Moses had 13 points, four rebounds, four blocks and three assists.
          Greenville got 15 points each from Taylor Paulin and Laura Goodnight and 12 each from Wesley Woodard and Meredith Crosier.
          Both teams are now 2-1 on the season.
          Millikin will be back in action on Tuesday, November 22 hosting Eureka College at 5 p.m.
