Millikin Women Defeat Eureka

          The Millikin women's basketball team went into its Thanksgiving Break on a high note after picking up an 80-66 win over Eureka College on November 22 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.  The Big Blue improve to 3-1 on the season while Eureka goes to 2-2.
          Millikin built and 44-32 advantage at halftime and held off a third quarter rally by the Red Devils to hold a 63-56 advantage at the end of three quarters.  Millikin shot 35 percent from the field including 38 percent from three point range.  Eureka shot 40 percent from the field and hit on 30 percent from three point range.  The difference in the game came at the free throw line where the Big Blue made the most of its opportunities hitting on 37-43 (86 percent) while Eureka hit 6-9 from the line.  Millikin out rebounded Eureka 42-27.
          Millikin had five players in score in double figures led by Lauren Moses with 16 points, nine rebounds and four steals.  Devin Curry added 14 points and five boards.  Rachael Weber had 13 points followed by Yanni Saddler with 12 and Emily Schultz with 11.  Schultz finished with a double double pulling in a team high 10 rebounds.
          Kerrigan Dura led Eureka with 16 points.
          Millikin will be back in action on November 28 at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois at 7 p.m.
