Big Blue Men’s Basketball Drops Home Contest

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost to Principia College 89-71 on November 22 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
          The Panthers held a 34-21 advantage at the half, but pull away from the Big Blue in the second half out scoring Millikin by 15 points.  Principia hit on 57 percent from the field including hitting 16-28 (57 percent) from three point range.  Millikin hit on 44 percent from the field, but hit only 9-28 from three point range (32 percent).
          Junior Levi Bailey led Millikin with 18 points.  Jack Simpson added 12 and freshman Jordan Cunningham scored 10 points and had a team high eight rebounds.
          Principia was a two man wrecking crew led by Adaku Anumu with 40 points and Parker Davidson with 26.  Anumu hit on 10-13 from three point range.  Parker had a double double with a game high 11 rebounds.
          Millikin falls to 0-4 while Principia goes to 1-3.
          The Big Blue will travel to Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana on November 29.
