Millikin Women Roll Over St. Mary’s

          The Millikin women's basketball team rolled to an 84-44 win over St. Mary's College on December 30 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
          Millikin scored the first nine points of the game and never looked back.  The Big Blue lead 21-10 at the end of the first quarter and took a 45-12 advantage into the locker room at halftime.
          Millikin shot 51 percent from the field and went 19-24 from the free throw line.  St. Mary's was limited to 32 percent from the field.  Millikin out rebounded the Belles 43-25 and forced St. Mary's into 25 turnovers.
          Millikin had 11 different players score in the game lead by Emily Schultz with 17 points.  Yanni Saddler and Shannon Propst each scored 13.  Propst posted a double double pulling down a team high 11 rebounds.  Devin Curry scored 11 points for the Big Blue and had four steals.
          Gabby Diamond led St. Mary's with 11 points followed by Kelsey Ronan with 10 points.
          Millikin is now 6-4 and will play on Saturday, December 31 facing the United States Coast Guard Academy at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.
