Millikin Women Score Key Conference Road Win

          The Millikin women's basketball team scored a key conference road win 77-66 at North Park University in Chicago on December 7.  Millikin improves to 5-2, 1-1 while North Park goes to 3-3, 0-2.
          Millikin took its first lead midway through the first quarter and had the advantage the rest of the game.  Millikin was up 25-16 at the end of the first quarter and 42-35 at the half.
          The Big Blue hit on 37 percent from the field while North Park hit on 38 percent.  Millikin out rebounded North Park 48-37.  The Big Blue had a major advantage at the free throw line hitting on 29-33 (88 percent) while North Park convert on 6-10.
          Millikin got career high scoring nights from Emily Schultz with 25 points and Rachael Weber with 21 points.  Schultz had six rebounds and five steals.  Weber finished with six rebounds and two assists.  Devin Curry scored 13 points and Cassie Somers added 12 points and six rebounds.  Lauren Moses had a team high nine rebounds.
          Liz Rehberger led North Park with 15 points.    Shaylee Sloan had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
          Millikin will host North Central College on Saturday, December 10 at 5 p.m.
