Big Blue’s Basketball Falls to #1 Augustana

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost to number one ranked Augustana College 77-52 on Feb. 13 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.  The Vikings are now 23-1, 12-1 while Millikin goes to 9-15, 3-10.
          Augustana opened the game with blistering shooting over the first 10 minutes hitting on 92 percent from the field including going 6-6 from three point range.  The Vikings shot 63 percent from the field for the game.  Millikin shot 37 percent.  The Vikings dominated the boards 34-14 including pulling down 30 defensive rebounds.
          Senior T.J. Griffin and freshman Nathan Lovekamp led the Big Blue each with 12 points. 
          Griffin Pils and Ben Ryan led the Vikings with 15 points each. 
          Millikin will close out the season on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. on Senior Night when they host Carthage College.
