Millikin Men Lose to #9 North Park

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost to ninth ranked North Park University 89-61 on January 18 at the Griswold Center.  The Vikings are ranked ninth in the nation in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 poll.
          North Park's Jordan Robinson was too much for the Big Blue to handle scoring 31 points and pulling in 14 rebounds.  Robinson had 22 points and eight boards in the first half when the Vikings built a 51-36 lead at the half.  North Park shot 58 percent from the field in the game including hitting on 61 percent in the first half.  Millikin hit on 38 percent from the field.  The Vikings dominated the rebounding battle 41-20.  Millikin had very few second chances on the offensive end grabbing only four offensive rebounds in the game.
          Freshman Zach Fisher led Millikin with 21 points, four rebounds and three assists.  Tyler Pygon had 15 points, three rebounds and two assists. 
          Juwan Henry added 17 points for the Vikings.
          North Park improves to 13-3, 6-2 while Millikin falls to 3-13, 1-6.  North Park is in second place in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW).
          Things don't get any easier for the Big Blue who host the CCIW leading Augustana College Vikings on Saturday, January 21 at 7 p.m.
