Big Blue Men Fall to Pioneers

         The Millikin men's basketball team lost at Carroll University on January 7 in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  The matchup was the first time the two teams have met since Carroll rejoined the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) this academic year.
         A poor first half spelled trouble for the Big Blue as Carroll held 36-16 lead at halftime.  Millikin hit only 25 percent from the field in the first half including going 0-8 from three-point range.  Carroll hit 58 percent from the field in the first half including going 50 percent from beyond the arc.  Carroll hit 46 percent from the field for the game (9-20 three-pointers) while Millikin hit 35 percent from the field (1-16 three pointers).
         Freshman Jordan Cunningham led Millikin with 14 points and seven rebounds.  Freshman Logan Bader added 10 points.
         Tanner Zaeske and Tyler Ingebrigtsen each had 13 points to lead Carroll.
         Carroll improves to 7-6, 2-2 while Millikin drops to 2-11, 0-4.
         After playing its last five games on the road, Millikin returns to the Griswold Center on January 11 to host Elmhurst College at 7 p.m.
