Big Blue Tennis Wins at North Central

    The Millikin women's tennis team finished its weekend with a second CCIW win over North Central 8-1. This win put the women's tennis team at 8-6 in dual matches for the fall season and 4-4 in CCIW play.
   Maggie Ruane and Kelly Ruane were the first win of the day at two doubles. They defeated their opponents 8-2. The one doubles team of Molly Angell and Melissa Donovan was next to finish with an 8-2 win. Morgan Bettner and Madeline Delano completed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win at three doubles.
   In singles, Maggie Ruane made quick work of her match at three singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. Angell earned the fifth point for the Big Blue at number two singles. Angell won her match 6-2, 6-3.
   Donovan and Kelly Ruane earned the sixth and seventh points with wins at four and five singles, respectively. Donovan won her match 6-0, 6-2 and Ruane won hers 6-0, 6-0.
   The last match on court was six singles. Madeline Delano won her first set 6-1 and then battled in the second set before closing it out 6-4.
   The Big Blue is back in action next week for the CCIW tournament hosted by Wheaton.
