Millikin Volleyball Knocks off Cardinals

          The #15 Millikin volleyball team knocked off the North Central Cardinals 3-0 on October 3 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.  Millikin is now 13-4 overall and 3-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW).  North Central goes to 8-4, 1-2.
          Millikin started out strong opening the first set on an 11-0 run behind the serving of Emily Milhalkanin.  North Central regrouped and battled back, but the Big Blue won the set 25-17.  Millikin then took the next two sets 25-16 and 25-18.
          Alora Goodey and Emily Seegmiller led the way for Millikin with 11 kills each.  Seegmiller added 13 digs and three service aces.  Marissa McElroy and Erin Syversen each added seven kills.  Syversen had two service aces and nine digs.  Mihalkanin had 29 assists, 10 digs and one ace.  Meredith Artime had a team high 17 digs and one ace.
          Julie Laugel led the Cardinals with eight digs.
