Millikin Volleyball Wins Twice

          The 15th ranked Millikin volleyball team opened play in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Tournament with two victories on October 6 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  The Big Blue are now 15-4 on the season.
          In the first match of the day, Millikin defeated the University of Wisconsin-River Falls 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-21).  Marissa McElroy led the Big Blue with 13 kills followed by Alora Goodey with 11.  Emily Seegmiller added 10 kills.  Erin Syversen had eight kills and 12 digs.  Emily Mihalkanin had 27 assists and two service aces.  Meredith Artime had a team high 17 digs.
          Millikin closed out the day with a 3-1 (25-18, 25-29, 27-29, 25-21) over Wisconsin-Stout.  Syversen had 20 kills, 17 digs and two service aces to lead the Big Blue attack.  Goodey had 17 kills and Seegmiller had 11 kills and eight digs.  McElroy had seven kills and three blocks.  Mihalkanin had 39 assists and 16 digs.  Artime had 17 digs.
          Millikin will play two more matches on Saturday including facing seventh ranked Northwestern (Minn.).
