Millikin Volleyball Stays Perfect in CCIW

          The eighth ranked Millikin University volleyball team ended the regular season with a 3-2 win at Carroll University on October 31 in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  The victory gives the Big Blue a perfect 8-0 record in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.  Millikin finishes the regular season at 27-6.
          The Pioneers put a major fight against the conference champion Big Blue.  Carroll won the first two sets 27-25 and 25-22.  Millikin rallied to win the match 25-15, 25-15 and 15-13.
          Senior Alora Goodey led the Millikin attack with 18 kills and eight digs.  Emily Seegmiller added 16 kills. Erin Syversen had 15 kills, 14 digs and five service aces.  Big Blue setter Emily Mihalkanin had 54 set assists, 15 digs and two aces.  Meredith Artime had a team high 21 digs, 11 assists and four service aces.
          Dana Voltolina led Carroll with 22 kills.  The Pioneers end their season at 11-21, 1-7.
          Millikin will host the CCIW Tournament on November 3-4.  The Big Blue will play in Friday's second semifinal starting at 7 p.m. facing the fourth seed Elmhurst College.
