Big Blue Men Lose to Red Men

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost to Carthage College 99-66 on February 18 in Decatur, Illinois in the Big Blue's final home game of the 2016-17 season.
          Carthage shot 60 percent from the field for the game and hit 15-31 (48 percent) from three point range.  Millikin shot 42 percent and went 6-13 (46 percent) from beyond the arc.  Carthage won the rebounding battle 34-29.
          Sophomore Tyler Pygon and freshman Jordan Cunningham and Logan Bader each had 12 points in the game for Millikin.  Pygon had four assists and Bader had a team high five rebounds.
          Millikin honored senior Matt Kruse before the game and Kruse ended the night with seven points and two rebounds.
          Mike Stevenson led the Red Men with 20 points.  Mike Kjeldsen added 16.
          Carthage is now 17-7, 10-5 while Millikin goes to 3-21, 1-14.
          Millikin will close out the season on February 21 at North Park.
