Millikin Softball Loses Two

         The Millikin softball team dropped two games during its annual Spring Break Trip to Florida on March 11.  The Big Blue lost to Wittenberg 8-0 (5) and to Concordia-Wisconsin 6-4 in Leesburg, Florida.
         Millikin was limited to one hit in the opener against Wittenberg.  Chelsea Zang and Abby Haab combined for the Tigers to shut down the Millikin offense.
Olivia Hopkins led the Tigers at the plate going 3-4.
         In game two, Jamie Reiser got Concordia-Wisconsin going in the second inning with a two run homerun.  Concordia would score three runs in second and then add on an unearned run in the fourth and two more runs scored in the sixth after a Millikin error.
         Freshman Kalli Farmer was 2-4 with an RBI to pace the Millikin offense.  Freshman Kelsey Farmer went 2-3.  Brooke Heimerl had an RBI single.  Chelsea Eads also had an RBI.
         Millikin is now 2-4.  The Big Blue will return to action with a pair of games on Monday in the Sunshine State.
