Millikin Baseball Wins in Texas

          The Millikin baseball team opened up its trip to Texas with a 16-5 win over LeTourneau on March 13 in Longview, Texas.
          Millikin jumped out to an early lead with five runs in the first inning and four in the second.  Millikin had 12 hits in the game and took advantage of six Yellow Jackets errors.
          Shortstop Seth Coffey led the Millikin attack going 3-6 with three runs scored and two RBIs.  Jake Drada was 2-4 with a double and triple with one RBI.  Julian Gutierrez and Garrett Brachbill each had two hits for Millikin.  Devin Crews and Andrew Huss each had one hit and two runs driven in.
          Max Paolicchi was the winning pitcher throwing six innings allowing eight hits and two earned runs while striking out six.
          Jacob Simmons went 3-3 to lead the Yellow Jackets.
          Millikin is now 6-3 while LeTourneau goes to 6-11.
          Millikin will play at Hardin-Simmons in Abilene, Texas on Tuesday.
