Big Blue Baseball Splits in Saturday Action

         The Millikin baseball team split a pair of games played at Fontbonne University on March 4 in St. Louis.  Millikin lost the first game of the day 13-12 in 11 innings to Fontbonne.  The Big Blue won its second game 11-6 over the University of Dubuque.
         Devin Crews led the Millikin attack in game two going 3-5 with a homerun and two RBIs.  Mason Bruce and Jake Drada each had two hits and two RBIs.  Anthony Bryan went 2-3 with two runs scores.
         Brandon Viken earned the win in relief.  Gage Eller pitch well in relief going two and one third innings allowing three hits and one runs.
         Will Doherty led Dubuque going 4-5 with two RBIs.
In game two, the teams combined for 25 runs and 34 hits.  Millikin scored early with five runs in the second, one in the third and four in the fourth.  The Big Blue lead 10-3 before Fontbonne battled back with one in the fifth, three in the sixth, four in the eighth and two in the 11th.
         Mason Bruce was 4-5 for Millikin with two RBIs.  Bryan was 4-5 with two doubles and five RBIs. Drada and Julian Gutierrez each had two hits.  Crews had a game tying home run in the ninth and Jon Walters put the Big Blue ahead in the 11th with a homerun.
         Ethan Boyer, Ryan Schocker, Logan Mueth, Patrick Shuff each had three hits for Fontbonne.
         Millikin is now 4-3 on the season.
