Millikin Baseball Downs MacMurray

         The Millikin baseball team defeated MacMurray College 6-4 on March 9 in a game played at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois.
         Millikin jumped out to an early lead with two runs in the first.  Mason Bruce opened the game with a double and scored on a run scoring double from Seth Coffey.  Two outs later, Coffey scored on an RBI double from Devin Crews.
         Millikin added a run in the third on a run scoring single from Crews.  Millikin scored twice in the fifth on a two-run single from Hunter Wenstrom.  Coffey drove home Garrett Brachbill in the eighth.  Brachbill opened the inning with a double.
         Coffey led the Millikin attack going 3-5 with two RBIs.  Jake Drada was also 3-5.  Crews had two hits and two RBIs.  Bruce and Wenstrom each had two hits.
         Justin Renou led MacMurray going 2-5 with an RBI.
         Freshman Ben Williamson eared the win in relief for Millikin.  Phil Ganley was solid in relief throw one and one third innings with two strikeouts. Ben Peters earned the save throwing the final inning and without giving up hit.
         Millikin is now 5-3 on the season.
