Millikin Baseball Splits Twin Bill

         The Millikin baseball team split a doubleheader at North Central College on April 23 in Naperville, Illinois.  Millikin won game one 8-7 before the Cardinals rallied to take game two 3-1.
         Millikin jumped out to an early lead in game one and held off a late charge from North Central.  Devin Crews led the Millikin attack going 3-6 with two RBIs.  Seth Coffey was 3-5 with two runs scored.  Mason Bruce went 2-5 with two runs scored.  Logan Talkington was the winning pitcher for Millikin improving to 5-1 on the season.  Talkington threw five innings allowing two hits and four runs while striking out two.  Ben Peters earned the save giving him six on the season.
         Nick Sotiros, Sing Fong, and Adam Nelson each had two hits for North Central.
         Crews stayed hot in game two for Millikin going 2-4.  Bruce drove home the Big Blue's lone run with a groundout.
         Robert Blunk was the winning pitcher for North Central throwing nine innings allowing only five hits and one unearned run.  Michael Mateja, Chris Hill, John Carmody and Robert Zebrauskas each had two hits for North Central.
         Millikin is now 17-15 overall and 6-12 in conference play.  North Central is 15-12, 10-5.
         Millikin will host Illinois College on April 26.
