Millikin Volleyball Goes 4-0 in California

         The Millikin volleyball team picked up two more wins on Saturday to go 4-0 at the Pacific Coast Classic played in Claremont, California on Sept. 1-2.
         In games played on Saturday at Pomona-Pitzer University, the Big Blue defeated Chapman University 3-1 (25-21, 25-14, 22-25, 25-15) and Pomona-Pitzer 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 25-9, 25-15).
         Erin Syversen continued her stellar start to her senior season with 18 kills and four service aces.  Fellow senior Alora Goodey added 15 kills and two blocks.  Junior Emily Seegmiller had 12 kills and 11 digs.  Marissa McElroy added six kills and six blocks.  Meredith Artime had a team high 19 digs.  Emily Mihalkanin had 23 set assists and Rose Syversen had 19 assists and 13 digs.
         Courtney Justus led Chapman with 12 kills and 14 digs.
         In the second match of the day, Goodey led the way with 15 kills.  Erin Syversen had 14 kills and McElroy had 11 kills.  Artime added 15 digs.  Mihalkanin had 28 assists and three service aces.  Seegmiller recorded six kills and four aces.
         Julia Zwaal had 11 kills and 14 digs to lead Pomona-Pitzer.
