Millikin Volleyball Opens CCIW Play with Victory

         The eighth ranked Millikin volleyball team opened play in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) with a 3-0 win at North Park University in Chicago on September 20.
         Millikin won 25-9, 25-14 and 25-16.  Senior Erin Syversen led Millikin with 13 kills with a .619 hitting percentage.  Syversen added nine digs and six service aces.  Senior Alora Goodey had seven kills and four blocks.  Emily Seegmiller had seven kills and Marissa McElroy added six.  Millikin setter Emily Mihalkanin had a team high 12 assists with eight digs.
         Lauren Wiltie had five kills and six digs to lead North Park.
         Millikin is now 9-1 on the season while North Park goes to 6-3.
         Millikin will play in a tournament at Illinois Wesleyan University on September 22-23.
