Big Blue Women Lose to Carthage

          The Millikin women's basketball team lost to Carthage College 74-51 on January 20 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
          Carthage led 18-6 after the first quarter and 34-22 at halftime.  Millikin struggled to find its shot hitting only 29 percent from the field.  Carthage hit 40 percent of its shots.  Millikin won the rebounding battle 41-37. 
          Lauren Moses led Millikin with 12 points and seven rebounds.  Jordan Hildebrand had 11 points and six rebounds.  Yanni Saddler had 10 points and a team high eight boards.
          Carthage got 15 points from Sammie Woodward followed by Madie Kaelber and Bailey Gilbert each with 13.
          Millikin falls to 5-12, 0-8 while Carthage goes to 12-5, 5-3.
