Millikin Volleyball Falls in Regular Season Finale

          The Millikin volleyball team closed out the regular season with a 3-1 (23-25, 25-12, 25-23, 25-12) loss to Carroll University on October 30 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
          The loss drops Millikin to 15-18 overall and 4-4 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). The Big Blue finish the regular season in a tie for fourth place with Augustana College. Since Millikin defeated the Vikings earlier this year, Millikin will be the four seed and will host Augustana on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the newly expanded six-team CCIW Tournament. The winner of Thursday's match will advance to the semifinals on Friday at first place Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. Carroll finishes the regular season 19-9, 6-2 and will be the three seed in the tournament.
          Millikin was led by senior Emily Seegmiller with 15 kills. Freshman Peyton Jackson added 11.  Setter Rose Syversen had 35 set assist and 12 digs. Alyssa Vignos had a team high 14 digs. Kelsey McAtee had 10 digs and two service aces.
          Carroll got 11 kills from Kyle Mueller.
