The Millikin University volleyball team secured a four seed after their regular season performance in conference. They advanced to the second round of the 2018 CCIW Conference Tournament with a five-set victory over the Augustana College Vikings (19-25, 25-18, 25-19, 23-25, 15-13).

Millikin's attack was led by Marissa McElroy with 16 kills. Lauren Brummel and Marie Gerbasi each tallied 12 kills. Rose Syversen added 48 set assists, two service aces, and 23 digs. Alyssa Vignos dug up 27 Augustana attacks for the Big Blue. Senior Emily Seegmiller totaled four blocks. It was a hard-fought battle, with many extended volleys ending in Millikin's favor.

With the victory, the Big Blue moved on to the next round of the conference tournament. On November 2, sixth seeded North Park will match up against second seeded Carthage in the first game of the night, followed by Millikin taking on the host, top ranked Illinois Wesleyan at 7 p.m.
