Women’s Basketball Loses to Westminster

          The Millikin women's basketball team lost to Westminster College 68-51 at the IC Tipoff Classic hosted by Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois on November 17.
          Westminster led 40-25 at halftime. Millikin played the Bluejays even in the second half, but could not overcome the first half deficit. Westminster shot 41.5 percent from the field while Millikin struggled with its shooting making 30 percent of its shots.
Westminster won the rebounding battle 54-31.
          Senior Yanni Saddler led Millikin with 17 points and three assists. Saddler was named to the All-Tournament Team. Jordan Hildebrand had nine points, seven rebounds, and three assists for Millikin with sophomore Aubrey Magro scoring nine points and pulling down five rebounds.
          Westminster got 22 points each from Mirrakohl Johnson and Kendahl Adams.
          After opening the season with four straight games away from the Griswold Center, the Big Blue will host Illinois College on November 25 at 1 p.m.
