Millikin Men’s Basketball Suffers First Loss

         The Millikin men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season losing at Aurora University 90-65 on November 21 in Aurora, Illinois. The Big Blue are now 4-1 while Aurora goes to 1-0 on the season.
         Playing its first game of the season, Aurora got off to a hot start opening the game with a 24-3 run over the first nine minutes. The Spartans led 50-24 to halftime.
         Millikin struggled from the field making only 38 percent from the field including going 3-25 (12 percent) from three point range. Aurora hit 52 percent from the field and 48.5 percent from three-point range. The Spartans hit on 9-17 from three point range in the first half. Millikin won the rebounding battle 38-35.
         DaVante Harrell led Millikin with 22 points. Elijah Henry had 13 points and a team high eight rebounds.
         Garrett Hoffman led Aurora with 18 points followed by Max Vickers with 14.
         Millikin will play host to Simpson College on Sunday, November 25 at 5 p.m.
