Millikin Women Roll Past Raiders

         Picking up its second win in two days, the Millikin women's basketball team rolled to a 78-61 win over the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) Raiders on December 19 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
         Millikin lead 16-11 at the end of the first quarter and blew the game open in the second quarter outscoring MSOE 24-6 to lead 40-17 at halftime. The Big Blue continued to roll in the third quarter building a 33- point advantage with 1:34 left the third quarter.
         Millikin shot 50 percent from the field and went 9-19 (47 percent) from three-point range. The Big Blue shot 60 percent (9-15, 4-4 from three-point range) in the second quarter and 69 percent (9-13, 3-3 from three-point range) in the third quarter. MSOE hit on 40 percent of its shot, but went 2-15 (13 percent) from three-point range. Millikin dominated the glass 40-27.
         Yanni Saddler led Millikin with 23 points followed by Aubrey Staton with 19 and Jordan Hildebrand with 18. Staton had a team high seven rebounds followed by Hildebrand with six rebounds and a team high five assists.
         Kayla Barreto led MSOE with 23 points.
         Millikin is now 4-8 while MSOE goes to 6-3.
         After a break for Christmas, Millikin will host Monmouth College on December 30 at 3 p.m.
