Big Blue Women Suffer Road Defeat

          The Millikin women's basketball team lost at North Park University 79-66 on December 5 in Chicago, Illinois.
          Millikin lead 14-13 after the first quarter and built a 36-33 advantage at halftime.
The Vikings rallied in the third quarter and took a 56-54 lead and the end of three. North Park sealed the victory with a strong fourth quarter outscoring Millikin 23-12.
          North Park shot 46.5 percent from the field while the Big Blue hit on 46 percent of its shots. The Vikings took 17 more shots than the Millikin due to 26 Big Blue turnovers and a 38-35 rebounding advantage. North Park committed 16 turnovers.
          Yanni Saddler led Millikin with 18 points. Briana Anthony and Aubrey Staton each scored 14. Faith Smith had a team high seven rebounds.
          Jayla Johnson led the Vikings with 31 points going 13-17 from the field and 5-5 from the free throw line.
          Millikin is now 2-6, 1-1 while North Park improves to 4-4, 1-1.
