Big Blue Women’s Basketball Wins Second Straight Game

          The Millikin women's basketball team picked up its second straight win defeating Augustana College 82-63 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
          Millikin trailed 34-33 at the half, but the Big Blue outscored the Vikings 24-12 in the third quarter to turn the game around.  Millikin shot 48 percent from the field and hit 6-15 (40 percent) from three-point range.  Augustana hit on 38 percent of its shots and went 3-12 (25 percent) from three-point range.  Millikin dominated the rebounding 48-29.
          The Big Blue had four players score in double figures led by Devin Curry with 19.  Emily Schultz had 16 points and 10 rebounds while Yanni Saddler had 15 points and five boards.  Senior Lauren Moses posted a double double with 10 points and a team high 15 rebounds.  Cassie Somers and Jordan Hildebrand each scored nine points.  Hildebrand pulled down seven rebounds.
          Augustana's top scorer was Izzy Anderson with 16 followed by Victoria Allen with 13.
          Millikin is now 7-15, 2-11 while Augustana falls to 13-10, 6-8.
          Millikin travels to Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington on February 14.
