Millikin Women’s Basketball Loses Road Contest

         The Millikin University women's basketball team lost its final road game of the season 73-67 at Carroll University on February 17 in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
         Carroll led at the end of the first quarter 20-14, but the Big Blue rallied in the second quarter and took a 39-36 lead at halftime.  Millikin led by seven points in the third quarter before Carroll took control of game and regained the lead 61-57 after three quarters.  Carroll shot 9-17 (53 percent) in the third quarter while Millikin struggled from the field going 4-12 (33 percent).
         For the game Carroll shot 46 percent while Millikin hit on 39 percent of its field goals.  Carroll went 4-13 from three-point range while Millikin was 4-17. The Big Blue won the battle of the boards 42-32.
         Devin Curry led Millikin with 19 points and six rebounds.  Yanni Saddler scored 15 points with six rebounds and Emily Schultz had 15 points and five rebounds.
         Emily Majerus led Carroll with 18 points followed by Brittney Wald with 17.
         Carroll is now 8-16, 5-10 while Millikin falls to 7-17, 2-13.
         Millikin plays its final game of the season on Tuesday, February 20 at home against North Park University at 7 p.m.
