Softball Splits Pair of Games in Florida

         The Millikin softball team split a pair of games at the Spring Games in Clermont, Florida on March 10.  Millikin is now 5-1 on the season.
         Millikin won its opening game 9-0 over Minnesota-Morris.  Millikin scored single runs in the first, third and fifth inning before breaking the game open with a six run sixth inning.
         Kalli Farmer led the Big Blue attack going 3-4 with double and two RBI.  Maggie Comerford was 2-3 with a triple and two RBI.  Chelsea Eads homered.  Gracie Brookens was the winning pitcher throwing six innings allowing four hits while striking out one.
         Millikin lost it second game 3-2 to Concordia-Wisconsin.  Concordia scored the two winning runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.  The game winner was a RBI double from Jenna Pozezinski.
         Millikin's Taylor Jordan and Alyssa Voegele each went 2-4.  Voegele had a double and an RBI.
