Big Blue Baseball Drops Two Games in Texas

         The Millikin baseball team dropped two games played at Southwestern University on March 11 in Georgetown, Texas.
         In the first game, Millikin lost to Southwestern 7-6 wrapping up a three game series.  The Big Blue scored four runs in the first and added on runs in the third and fourth innings.  Southwestern chipped away at the Big Blue lead and went ahead in bottom of the seventh inning.
         Jake Drada led the Millikin attack going 3-5 with a double.  Devin Crews and Anthony Bryan each had two hits.  Luke McConnell had two RBI.
         Four Pirate players had two hits in the game.  Jason McCormack tripled home the tying run and Cole Kelly drove home the game winner with a sacrifice fly.  Kelly had three RBI in the game.
         In the second game, Millikin lost to #7 Trinity University 9-0.  The high powered Big Blue lineup was limited to just two hits with both those coming in the ninth inning.
Devin Crews and Luke Azzarelli were the only Millikin players with hits.
         James Nittoli was the winning pitcher for Trinity throwing six innings with no hits and eight strikeouts.  Michael Goodrich led the way for the Trinity offense going 2-4 with 3 RBI.
         Millikin is now 7-3 and Trinity improves to 10-1.
