Millikin Baseball Ends Texas Trip with Victory

          The Millikin baseball team closed out its Texas trip with a 15-7 win at Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas on March 15.
          After scoring a single run in the second inning, the Big Blue broke open the game with an eight run third inning.  Millikin pounded out 16 hits and had five players pick up more than one hit in the game.
          Jon Walters led the way going 2-5 with a double, home run and five RBIs.  Devin Crews went 3-6 with a home run and two RBI.  Mason Bruce was 3-5 including a double with a run batted in.  Andrew Auton was 2-5 with a two run double.  Jake Drada homered for Millikin in the second inning.  Julian Gutierrez was 1-3 and drew three walks.
          Freshman Brent Beal was the winning pitcher throwing four and two-thirds innings allowing five hits and three runs while striking out two.  Beals entered the game when starter Logan Talkington had to leave the game in the first inning.  Ben Williamson and Nick Followell each pitched an inning of scoreless relief.
          Mary Hardin Baylor had 12 hits including four players that collected two hits each.  Braden Letney was 2-4 with RBI    
          Millikin is 8-4 on the year while Mary Hardin Baylor goes to 6-11.
