Millikin Softball Splits in Sunshine State

         The Millikin softball team split a pair of games at the Spring Games in Clermont, Florida on March 15.
         In its first game, the Big Blue lost the first game 10-7 to Bethel University.  Taylor Jordan led the Millikin attack going 3-4 with a double along with two runs scored and two RBI.  Chelsea Eads was 2-4 with two RBI.  Alexis Dockins with a double and an RBI.  Kailey Lyons and Kalli Farmer each had RBIs for the Big Blue.
         Allie Fauth led Bethel going 3-4 with a triple and four RBI. 
         Millikin rallied to win game two 10-2 over Northwestern-St. Paul in six innings.
         Farmer led the Big Blue going 2-3 with a home run with four RBI and three runs scored.  Alyssa Voegele was 2-2.  Lyons was 2-4 with two RBI.  Senior Brooke Heimerl homered for the Big Blue.
         Gracie Brookens was the winning pitcher throwing six innings allowing five hits and two earned runs while striking out three.
         Mindy Forcier led Northwestern going 3-3.
         Millikin is 7-5 on the season and plays its final two games in Florida on March 16.
