The Millikin baseball team lost a doubleheader at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois on March 30. The games were originally scheduled for Decatur, but had to be moved due to wet field conditions at Sunnyside Park.
North Central scored eight runs in the first two innings of game one and went on to win 15-1.
Jake Drada had the Big Blue's only RBI coming on a base hit.
The high powered Millikin offense was held to just six hits by Cardinals starter John Clifford who threw seven innings allowing one earned run while striking out five. Jeremy Quade went 4-5 for North Central with two RBI. Mike Wisz had three hits and three RBI for the Cardinals.
North Central won game two 8-1. Michael Mateja led the Cardinal attack going 3-5 with Matt Sutherland also collecting three hits.
Millikin's Jon Walters went 2-4 and Luke Azzarelli had an RBI single for the Big Blue.
Millikin falls to 10-7, 0-3 while North Central goes to 10-7, 4-0.
The teams will conclude the three game series on Saturday in Naperville.
